About Us

With excellence as a standard and enjoyment as a prerequisite we will show that there is more than meets the eye when engaging with New Zealand, New Zealand history, and New Zealand nightlife.

We look to support local business, bars, craft breweries, and vineyards, the smaller the better. By supporting local we support local communities, small business, and New Zealand. This is about providing a more authentic and higher quality experience for our guests, as well as doing our part to build and improve local communities.

We support businesses that support historic buildings in Auckland city, by supporting these businesses we help to retain these buildings, we help to keep them alive and we help to keep them as part of Auckland. On the Tour we only visit bars that are in historic buildings. Auckland Historic Bar Tour is looking to grow to the point that we can support projects that repair, restore, and further promote our historic buildings.

We aim to be a registered carbon neutral business. Auckland Historic Bar Tour aims to rethink the way that traditional tours work, our stance is that simplicity is key. If we can rethink the way that we approach nightlife activities and the way we do things we can have a positive impact.

We want to show that traveling by foot and public transport is absolutely a viable option in Auckland City, and we can encourage our guests to get out and explore the city sustainably. We look to add value and within that value to teach not only about New Zealand and culture but also ways that our guests can interact and engage with our country in the most positive ways. The hope is that Auckland Historic Bar Tour is a fun introduction to the way that guests will experience the country.

The Treaty of Waitangi is one principle that provides a foundation for decision making for Auckland Historic Bar Tour, Auckland Historic Bar Tour looks to Te Tiriti to make sure that decisions that are made are made in line with Te Tiriti.

The Treaty of Waitangi principle calls for a delivery that:

Acknowledges Tangata Whenua
Acknowledges the Treaty of Waitangi principles
Acknowledges our nation’s bicultural foundations
Enables guests to acquire an introduction to Te Reo Māori and Tikanga Māori.
